ABOUT THE ARTIST

Isobel Humphrey (b.1999) is an installation artist from Wiltshire, based in London.

She has heard that it's hard to be a serious artist these days but feels that this is okay, because she is not a serious artist, she is quite a fun one.

Isobel holds a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths University of London, and is looking forward to pursuing a Masters next.

At the moment, she’s writing about co-habiting with more-than-human lives, looking at which ones we allow into our home spaces (pets, house plants, birds on the birdfeeder) and which ones we find totally unacceptable and in what contexts (other people's pets, weeds, uninvited hungry creatures).
She finds writing about herself in third person a bit strange.
